Keanu Reeves is super excited about the latest instalment to the John Wick franchise, with John Wick 2. He’s even got some ideas about where the series could head in the past.
Speaking on the Empire Podcast, Reeves offered up some ideas as to how he thinks a third John Wick movie may work.
He explained: “I think the opening of the film should be Wick just trying to escape from New York. Literally trying to get off the island. Maybe he asks [Lawrence Fishburne’s character] the Bowery King for help. Maybe John Leguizamo comes and help me out. ‘John, I can’t do it, you’re excommunicado!’
“Maybe the High Table shows up. And then the High Table starts firing guns. And then maybe this kind of thing starts to happen between the High Table and Continental? Maybe John is the activator of this confrontation, and perhaps there’s a war? Wouldn’t that be awesome?!”
What do you think of Reeves’ ideas? They may at first seem a little out of the box, but after seeing John Wick 2, they’re more than plausible if the movie does eventually get a continuation.
If John Wick 3 is in the works, let’s hope it comes a little sooner than the current sequel did!
John Wick 2 is available now in cinemas across the UK.
