Karl Urban reveals that he would be up for Dredd 2 when it was suggested on social media that Netflix of Amazon should get behind the project.
It was back in 2012 when Urban took on the role of Dredd for the first time in what was one of the best films of the year. The movie saw Pete Travis in the director's chair and Alex Garland penned the screenplay.
While there was much talk about a possible sequel, it is a project that has seemed to stall. The movie was not a big hit at the box office but it won over the critics and was a huge success on home release.
Four years on, and Urban is still keen to reprise the role answering a post on social media.
Urban is set to return to the big screen later this year with new film Star Trek Beyond, a movie that sees him reprise the role of Bones.
It will be the third Star Trek film and will reunite Urban with Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and Antony Yelchin.
However, it is all change in the director's chair as Justin Lin takes over from J.J. Abrams for the first time. Lin is no stranger to the big budget blockbuster with the Fast & Furious franchise already under his belt.
In fact, Star Trek Beyond is his first feature since the success of Fast & Furious 6 back in 2012.
It is set to be a busy summer for Urban as we are also going to see him in the new remake of Pete's Dragon, which will see him star alongside Robert Redford and Bryce Dallas Howard.
