Karl Urban has revealed that he 'can't wait' to start filming Thor: Ragnarok.
Urban is one of the big new additions to the Thor franchise and will take on the role of Skurge, as Asgardian warrior, in the new film.
The movie will see the actor team up with filmmaker Taika Waititi for the first time and the actor is keen to get started.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Urban said: "I will say that I read a fantastic script - a really fun, engaging script.
"I can't wait to get on set with Taika [Waititi] and the cast. We're going to have a lot of fun."
Waititi has brought us movies such as Eagle vs Shark and What We Do in the Shadows during his career but this will be his first Marvel film and the biggest movie of his directing career to date.
Thor: Ragnarok is the third solo film for the popular character and the first since the success of Thor: The Dark World back in 2013.
Urban is not the only new face on the cast list as Cate Blanchett and Jeff Goldblum have also been cast as Hela and Grandmaster.
Chris Hemsworth will reprise the title role while Tom Hiddleston Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins are also back as Loki, Heimdall, and Odin.
We are also going to see Mark Ruffalo reprise the role of Bruce Banner as he steps out of the Avengers franchise for the very first time. It really is shaping up to be a very impressive cast list.
The movie is currently in pre-production and will start filming later this year.
As for Urban, he is back on the big screen this summer as he reprises the role of Bones in Star Trek Beyond - the third film in the new series.
This is the first Star Trek movie since Star Trek into Darkness back in 2013 and sees the actor reunite with Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, and Simon Pegg.
Thor: Ragnarok is released 27th October 2017.
