Julianne Moore says that Chloe Grace Moretz was the perfect choice to play Carrie.
Moore teams up with Moretz for the remake of the horror classic, that sees Kimberly Peirce in the director’s chair.
Moore says that she wanted to be an acting partner for Moretz so they could both develop the mother/daughter relationship that is at the centre of this movie.
Speaking to Total Film the actress said: “She’s an authentic person and perfect to play Carrie because she is actually at that point in her life where she’s going through changes.
“She’s also close to her mother, which in a way made it easy for me because she wanted to explore that mother/daughter relationship. I felt the responsibility to be her partner and make her comfortable to go there.”
2014 is set to be a very busy year for Moore as she has already completed work on Seventh Son, Non Stop and Maps to the Stars.
It was revealed earlier this year that she had also landed the role of President Alma Coin in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: filming has begun on those two movies.
Carrie is released 29th November.
