Joss Whedon says he is 'having a blast' with the character of Ultron.
Whedon has written and will direct Avengers: Age of Ultron, where we will be introduced to the character of Ultron for the first time.
James Spader has been cast in the role, and it seems that Whedon is having lots of fun bringing this character to life.
Speaking to Empire, Whedon said: "I’m having a blast with Ultron. He’s not a creature of logic - he’s a robot who’s genuinely disturbed.
"We’re finding out what makes him menacing and at the same time endearing and funny and strange and unexpected, and everything a robot never is."
Spader is just one of a series of new characters in the second Avengers film, as Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Paul Bettany are also set to star as Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and The Vision.
Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo & Jeremy Renner are all back as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk and Hawkeye.
It has also been revealed that the UK release date for the film has been pushed forward to April 24th 2015.
The movie was set to hit the big screen in May. The U.S. will not see the movie until May 1st 2015.
