Joss Whedon says we will be introduced a brother and sister character due in Avengers 2.
The director is currently penning the screenplay for the sequel to Avengers Assemble and there has been plenty of speculation as to the new characters we could be seeing.
And while Whedon did not name the character it is believed that he was possibly talking about Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Speaking to Yahoo Whedon said: "I've got these two characters, two of my favourite characters from the comic book, a brother-sister act. They're in the movie."
There are a couple of other brother/sisters duos that it could possibly but not this is not the first time that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch has been mentioned - Kevin Feige has dropped a couple of hints in the past.
And there has been plenty of Avengers talk this week as Don Cheadle suggest that there is a possibility that we could be seeing War Machine make an appearance in the ensemble franchise.
It is widely expected that Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye and the Hulk will all return for the second movie.
Production is set to get underway next year with the film hitting the big screen in May 2015.
