Josh Helman has joined the cast of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.
The up-and-coming Australian star - whose previous credits include TV soap 'Home & Away' - will feature in Bryan Singer's upcoming superhero adventure film, according to TheWrap.com.
The movie would reunite Helman with his 'Mad Max: Fury Road' co-star Nicholas Hoult, who will reprise his role as Hank McCoy, aka Beast, from 2011's 'X-Men: First Class'.
It's not yet known what role the actor will play in the movie, but the part could prove to be significant as he is expected to be on set for several weeks.
Helman earned critical acclaim for his work in HBO's miniseries 'The Pacific' and he had a supporting role in 'Jack Reacher' opposite Tom Cruise last year.
The actor recently worked with Hoult, Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron on 'Mad Max', which will be released in 2014.
Singer's ambitious 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' will unite the cast of the original 'X-Men' trilogy - which ran between 2000 and 2006 - with the cast of 2011 prequel 'First Class' in a time-travelling plot when the future of the mutant race is put at stake.
The all-star cast includes Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and more.
'X-Men: Days of Future Past' is due for release in 2014.
