Josh Brolin says he doesn’t know how he feels about the possibility of a Goonies sequel.
There has been a lot of talk this year about a sequel going ahead. Director Richard Donner says he was looking to bring the original cast of the 1985 cult movie back together.
In the past Brolin has admitted that it would be something that he would be up for, but admits that he loves the first film so much he is not too sure how he feels about it.
In a recent session on Reddit, the actor said:
"There's always a possibility. Seriously, no teasing. About every five years it comes up. I've never read a script.
“It seems that recently in the last year, there's been more talk of it than usual from the likes of Corey Feldman and Richard Donner. But that's as far as it's gone for me.
"I don't know how I feel about a sequel, given that I love the original movie so much."
Brolin, Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen, Kerri Green, Martha Plimpton, and Jonathan Ke Quan starred in the first film, which followed a group of kids as the set off in search of the lost treasure of pirate One Eyed Willie to save their homes from foreclosure.
While there has been a lot of talk about the project, we are going to have to wait and see if it actually goes ahead.
As for Brolin, he has returned to the big screen this week as he takes over the role of Dwight in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
He has also completed work on Inherent Vice, Everest and is currently working on Sicario with Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro, and director Denis Villeneuve.
