Josh Brolin says there was no decision to be made when he was offered the role of Thanos by Marvel.
So far, we have seen Brolin make an appearance as Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron but he is set to play an even bigger role as we go into Phase Three of the Marvel films.
And the Oscar nominated actors reveals that he didn't hesitate to jump on board when he was asked to take on the role of the iconic comic villain.
Speaking to Collider, the actor said: "It's great. It's actually great and it's one of those decisions where when I made the decision, it wasn't a difficult decision. Because Kevin Feige and Louis D'Esposito are so smart at using Benny [Del Toro] for Guardians of the Galaxy as The Collector, and I thought it was so good. That kind of thing. It's like, 'Yes, I absolutely want to do this.'"
And while Brolin is an experienced actor, he admits that he was nervous at the beginning because it wasn't like any other role that he had tackled.
He continued: "It's the type of character where it's him against all of the Avengers, which is fantastic in itself, but doing it is a very different type of acting. So I was a little nervous in the beginning."
Thanos looks set to play a major role in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Part two as he is set to go head to head with the heroes over the infinity stones - stones which have been making a regular appearance in the Marvel films, I hope you have been paying attention.
I am looking forward to seeing Thanos in all of his glory and it is exciting to see an actor such as Brolin in this terrific role.
Away from the Marvel Universe, Brolin will be back on the big screen this week as he stars alongside Jason Clarke and Jake Gyllenhaal in Everest, which is based on the disaster that happened on the mountain back in 1996.
Brolin will take on the real-life role of Beck Weathers in the film, which has already been winning over critics and audiences on the festival circuit.
We are also going to be seeing Brolin star in Sicario this autumn with Emily Blunt, while Hail, Caesar! is also in the bag.
