Johnny Depp will star in an 'Alice in Wonderland' sequel.
The 'Lone Ranger' actor is set to sign a new deal with Disney to star in a follow-up to 2010's smash hit 'Alice and Wonderland' directed by Tim Burton, while 'The Muppets' director James Bobin will replace Burton as director of the sequel, according to Deadline.
The news comes after Depp reportedly moved his production company, Infinitum Nihil, to Disney in a first-look deal, which will see him develop and produce film projects for the movie studio.
Depp played the Mad Hatter in Disney's 2010 adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic which also starred Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.
It's not yet known whether his co-stars will reprise their roles in the film.
Depp's recent film, 'The Lone Ranger' was panned by critics; however, the actor is still in high demand after taking the lead role in Disney's thriller 'Mortdecai'.
The actor will also reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' and has signed on to star in Disney musical, 'Into the Woods' also.
