As one of the most-anticipated movies of the year, John Wick: Chapter Two has got some huge expectations laid out ahead of its release in just over a week. The critical success of the character’s first big screen outing brought in legions of fans across the globe in what many would argue is lead actor Keanu Reeves’ best work, and now they’re waiting in their scores to discover what’s next in store for Mr Wick.

Stepping into the role of an ex-assassin (who’s now looking for an easy life, but is dragged back into the one he had hoped to leave behind), John Wick makes his comeback with a story that has to-date been kept largely under wraps. Now, the sequel is being teased with a stunningly sleek new poster, promising plenty of gunfights as we see the titular character extending both arms, wielding a firearm complete with silencer in each. We can all rest assured that John Wick is ready for action.
Whilst it’s something so simple, the poster is leagues ahead and different to the stereotypical action movie poster we would usually see, retaining the original aesthetic that helped make the original movie such a major success.
Those who have worked on the new John Wick series addition have confirmed their interest in also bringing the franchise to the small screen, with a prequel television series being discussed so that the ex-assassin’s history and backstory can be explored more than ever before.
Of course, Chapter Two is going to have to perform well when it releases if this is a project that’ll ever be considered…
John Wick: Chapter Two comes to theaters in the US on February 10 and cinemas in the UK on February 17.
