J.K. Simmons was the toast of the awards season earlier this year when he scooped all of the major awards for his performance in Whiplash. This summer he is turning his attention to the big budget blockbuster as he is set to star in Terminator Genisys.

Simmons is set to take on the role of Detective O'Brien in the fifth film in this popular franchise and this brand new clips gives us our first look at this character - check it out:
Simmons is part of an all-star cast as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, and Byung-hun Lee are all also on board.
The movie also sees Alan Taylor take over the helm of this franchise for the first time in what is his first movie since he enjoyed success with Thor: The Dark World back in 2013.
Terminator Genisys is promising to be an action packed ride and will be one of the most successful films of the summer.
