J.J. Abrams says he wants to make Star Wars VII an 'emotional', 'authentic' and 'exciting' movie.

Abrams will be taking over the director's chair for the latest instalment in the Star Wars franchise; a movie that is already one of the most anticipated films of 2015.

When asked about the tone of the movie by EW the director said: "Impossible for me to say because it’s going to be an evolving thing.

"I would say we are working really hard to make a movie that feels as emotional and authentic and exciting as possible.

"Whatever your favourite Star Wars movie is and how to compare it is really sort of subjective."

Ever since it was announced that there would be three further Star Wars movie earlier this year there have been rumours flying around about who will be on the cast list.

While no cast members have been announced Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Benedict Cumberbatch have all been heavily linked to the movie.

Saoirse Ronan is the latest star that is supposedly in the running for a role.

Filming is set to get underway on the film next year.
