Jim Sturgess has described Cloud Atlas as 'epic' but a lot of fun to work on.
This week sees the David Mitchell novel of the same name adapted for the big screen and Sturgess is part of an all star cast.
The movie moves between different stories and characters and will see Sturgess take on more than one role.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "It was epic, it was exactly that. It was epic and it was crazy, and more than anything, it was just a lot of fun.
"You had a lot of actors from all areas, these big Hollywood names and these younger British actors.
"There were people from all walks of life but it really felt like everyone was making their very first film for the first time because none of us have made a film like this before."
Adam Ewing and Hae-Joo Chang are just two of the characters that we are going to see Sturgess play as Mitchell daring and sprawling novel is brought to life.
Tom Tykwer and Andy & Lana Wachowski are in the director's chair for this film while Halle Berry, Tom Hanks and Hugh Grant are just some of the names on the cast list.
Cloud Atlas is released 22nd February.
