Jim Carrey has hinted that he will be unrecognisable in his new film Kick Ass 2.
The funnyman is one of the exciting new additions to the cast list as he takes on the role of Colonel Stars in the movie.
Carrey revealed that he was very hands-on with his character and got his own make-up people together to experiment with different looks for the role.
Speaking to Fandango the actor said: "It's going to be fun. It's different for me. They called me up and said we want you to play this ex-Mafia enforcer, Sam DeStefano-style.
"So I looked at myself in the mirror and went, 'OK, might have to do some work'.
"I got my own make-up guys together and we just started experimenting and it's amazing how little you have to do to completely change your personality.
"We came up with a guy that no-one is going to recognise as me. It's so far away from anything that you've seen. It's really fun."
Kick Ass 2 comes three years after the huge critical success of the first movie - but Jeff Wadlow is in the director's chair this time around.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are all reprising their roles from the first film while John Leguizamo and Donald Faison are two of the other stars joining the cast list.
Kick Ass 2 is released later this year.
