As one of the highest-grossing horror franchises of all time, it’s fair to say the Saw series doesn’t have anything left to prove. Many thought it was all over with The Final Chapter, but earlier this year when Jigsaw was officially announced, it became clear that a new avenue of the story was to be explored. Today, a spooky new poster for the film has been revealed, which teases the start of a “new puzzle”. Check it out below:
Jigsaw comes to UK cinemas in October
Directed by The Spierig Brothers, with Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger writing the screenplay, the film is produced by Oren Koules, Mark Burg and Greg Hoffman.
Matt Passmore stars alongside Callum Keith Rennie, Clé Bennett, Hannah Emily Anderson, Laura Vandervoort, Mandela Van Peebles, Paul Braunstein, Brittany Allen and Josiah Black.
Whether any of the original names from the Saw series will be making a comeback for Jigsaw remains to be seen, but we’re sure that there will be references to everything we’ve seen so far.
With the titular puppet starring in much of the promotional material for the film, this could turn out to be the scariest franchise entry yet. We can’t wait to see it. Check out the official red band trailer below:
