Jesse Eisenberg based Lex Luthor on his friends that "act like villains".
Eisenberg took on the role of the dangerous villain in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and has revealed he drew on real life inspiration for the part.
Speaking from the red carpet at the 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' European premiere last night (22.03.16), he said: "He's a very authentic villain. He's a guy who in private is a tortured and an increasingly dangerous guy ...
"I took my inspiration from people I know that act like villains. They know who they are."
And Jesse also admitted he was "a little panicked" for people to see his portrayal of the legendary comic book character as it was "the most exciting role" he's ever had.
He added: "I'm a little panicked. It was the most exciting role I've ever got to play so I hope people will like it as much as I liked doing it."
One of his favourite parts of the movie was working with Holly Hunter, who stars as Senator Finch in the film.
He gushed: "Holly Hunter is one of my favourite actresses of all time so it seems so strange in this context to talk about her. She's incredible and it's certainly very odd to be working with her on this scale."
