Jesse Eisenberg says he has been asked to play an 'interesting' and 'challenging' character in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Eisenberg is set to take over the role of Lex Luthor in the sequel to Man of Steel - a film that he is shooting right now.
While he didn't give too much away he dropped a tiny hint as to what we may expect from Luthor this time around.
Speaking to Total Film, the actor said: "There are some indications of how the character should behave based on the script, and then an actor makes it his or her own.
I got to know one of the writers Chris Terrio, and we were able to discuss things at length and figure out who this person is to create a real psychology behind what is, perhaps, in a comic book, a less than totally modern psychology.
"I can only say I’ve been asked to play an interesting role. A complicated, challenging person."
Eisenberg is one of the new faces on the cast list alongside Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck. Henry Cavill is set to reprise the role of Superman.
Eisenberg returns to the big screen this weekend with Night Moves and has also completed work on The End of the Tour and American Ultra.
Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is released 29th April 2016.
