Jesse Einsenberg says the 'Now You See Me' sequel will start filming "as soon as possible".

The 'Social Network' actor has revealed director Louis Leterrier plans to capitalise on the smash success of the high-octane movie by commencing work on a follow-up in the next few months.

He told Collider.com: "I think they want to do it as soon as possible because the danger of doing a sequel long after the first one comes out is that there's less of an interest in seeing it, you don't capitalise on the first one in the same way."

The 29-year-old star is excited about the prospect of joining forces with the A-list cast - comprised of Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman and Isla Fisher - once again and thinks his character, magician J. Daniel Atlas, is meaty enough to revisit time and again.

Discussing the surprise box office success of 'Now You See Me', Eisenberg explained: "The only real effect is that I get to do a second movie, if it's good the actors will do it. That's the exciting thing -- everybody loved working together, it's a great cast.

"It's a fun character ... an enigmatic, cool magician. It's not a character who has an emotional catharsis at the end of his journey.

"This is a character that can exist for an extended period of time. I don't think of it like any finite experience."
