Jersey Boys is one of the summer movies that I cannot wait to see, as it marks the return of Clint Eastwood to the director’s chair.
Eastwood has delivered some terrific movies in recent years, but this will be the first time that he will have tackled the musical.
The movie is a big screen adaptation of the Tony Award winning musical, and we have the first trailer to share with you:
John Lloyd Young reprises the role of Frankie Valli - for which he won a Tony Award - while Erich Bergen stars as Bob Gaudio, Michael Lomenda as Vincent Piazza and Nick Massi as Tommy DeVito.
Christopher Walken is also on board and completes a cast list that is a mix of established stars and emerging talent.
The film tells the story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.
The story of their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the songs that influenced a generation, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Dawn,” “Rag Doll,” “Bye Bye Baby,” “Who Loves You,” and many more.
Jersey Boys is released 20th June.
