Jeremy Renner is believed to be the latest actor to join the ever expanding cast of Captain America: Civil War.
Renner was linked to the movie when the project was first announced but now THR has reported that the Oscar nominated actor is on board the already highly anticipated project.
Civil War will see Chris Evans reprise the role of Captain America, while Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, and Chadwick Boseman are already on board.
The movie will also see Anthony and Joe Russo return to the director's chair after helming The Winter Soldier to major box office success last year. The movie is based on the iconic comic book story and will see Captain America and Iron Man on different sides of the argument for the superhero registration act.
As for Renner, we have not seen him take on the role of Hawkeye since the success of Avengers Assemble - where the character was drastically underused - however, he will be back in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Renner has already hinted that we will see the character of Hawkeye fleshed out a little in the new film, which is set to be one of the biggest of 2015.
Filming is set to get underway on Civil War in the spring, and Renner with film this latest Marvel movie before joining Amy Adams to shoot Story of Your Life.
Story of Your Life will see Renner team up with Prisoners director Denis Villeneuve for the first time.
The actor has also completed work on Mission: Impossible 5 and will reprise the role of William Brandt alongside Tom Cruise, and Simon Pegg. The film is set to hit the big screen this summer.
Captain America: Civil War is released 29th April 2016.
