Jeremy Irons says the Batman vs Superman script is not yet finished.
Irons will be one of the new faces on the cast list, as he is set to play Alfred in the upcoming film.
Zack Snyder is back in the director's chair for the sequel to Man of Steel, and is currently still working on the screenplay.
Speaking to Absolute Radio, the actor said: "The script isn't entirely finished.
The movie will see Irons team up with Ben Affleck, who will take over the role of Batman for the first time. And Irons says he is looking forward to working with the actor.
"I think [his casting] is a wonderful idea. He's a lovely man and an interesting actor.
"I'm looking forward to getting to know him. I've only met him once."
An all star cast has been assembled for Batman vs Superman, as Henry Cavill and Amy Adams will reprise their roles of Clark Kent and Lois Lane.
Jesse Eisenberg and Gal Gadot will also be on board the film as Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman.
Batman vs Superman is released in 2016.
