Jennifer Lawrence says she can relate to Kaniss Everdeen when it comes to being famous an in the public eye.
Lawrence was catapulted to global fame last year when she took on the role of Katniss in the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games; a role she will be reprising later this autumn.
And Lawrence says that she struggled with how people in her home town reacted to her once she became a star - something Katniss has to deal with.
Speaking to Empire she said:
"There is the connection in that she doesn't feel like she's part of town anymore. Now everyone treats her like a celebrity...
"Whereas she still feels like she's part of them. I get that a lot. I'll go and get a coffee where I always get coffee and all of a sudden there's this weird mood, and I'm like 'Come on, I still get coffee here, just say hello.' "
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set to be one of the most successful films of 2013; it has been tipped to gross close to $1 billion at the global box office.
Lawrence has seen her star rise even further this year as she picked up a Best Actress Oscar for her performance in The Silver Linings Playbook.
And she says fame is not as horrible as she thought it was going to be.
"Right now, I don't have anyone [following me]. It was very intense for a while and I thought 'Oh God I cannot do this.' But it goes away and comes back, so it's not actually as horrible as I thought it was going to be."
American Hustle is another of Lawrence’s movies that has been whipping up a storm as it is a film that sees her reunite with director David O’Russell and actor Bradley Cooper.
The movie has already been tipped as a possible Oscar contender and will be hitting the big screen at the end of the year.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released 21st November.
