Jennifer Lawrence admits that she was 'surprised' to scoop the Best Actress for Musical or Comedy Golden Globe as she expected Amy Schumer to win.

The two friends went head to head on Sunday night for their performances in Joy and Trainwreck and it was the Oscar winner who came out on top; winning the third Golden Globe of her career so far.
Asked whether she felt "bad" for winning, Jennifer shared: "She (Amy) is gonna be fine. It wasn't a matter of feeling bad, because she's funny and hilarious and will win many things. I really expected Amy to win, so this was very truly surprising for me. I was just really surprised."
Lawrence was recognised for her central role as Joy Mangano in Joy, which sees the actress reunite with director David O.Russell.
All three of Lawrence's Golden Globe wins have come in Russell movies; winning for Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle in previous years. She picked up her first Golden Globe nomination back in 2011 for her central role in Winter's Bone.
The Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy category was a tough one this year as Lawrence and Schumer were nominated alongside Melissa McCarthy, Maggie Smith, and Lily Tomlin for Trainwreck, The Lady in the Van, and Grandma.
The Oscar nominations are announced later this week and we are going to have to wait and see if Lawrence and the film Joy picks up any nominations. Lawrence's nod was the only win for Joy on Sunday night; the film was nominated in Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, but lost out to The Martian.
As for Lawrence, she will be back on the big screen later this year as she reprises the role of Mystique in X-Men: Apocalypse. It will be the third time that we have seen her take on this role as she reunites with director Bryan Singer.
The actress is currently filming Passengers with Chris Pratt and it is set to be one of the must-see science fiction films of 2016.
