Jennifer Lawrence has described filming American Hustle as 'so real'.
Lawrence will return to the big screen in the new year as she reunites with director David O.Russell for the new film.
The crime drama is set in the late 1970s and early 1980s and sees Lawrence star alongside Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Amy Adams.
Speaking to MTV News, she said: "It's all character-driven. Everything, all of it.
"The costumes, the lighting is all 360 so that we never stop, so there never is my close-up, your close-up. All of it is so real."
American Hustle marks the second time that Lawrence has worked with O. Russell: she picked up her Best Actress Oscar this year for Silver Linings Playbook.
And Lawrence could well be in the Oscar race again as she is one of the favourites to bag a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination.
2013 has already been a great year for the actress as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been a critical and box office smash.
Catching Fire is the second film in the franchise and saw Lawrence return to the role of Katniss Everdeen.
American Hustle is released 1st January 2013.
