Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she has given her Oscar to her parents because of the 'weird energy' it gave off.
Lawrence picked up the gong earlier this year for her fantastic performance in David O'Russell's Silver Linings Playbook.
It was her second nomination after she received a nod for her breakthrough performance Winter's Bone.
Speaking to access Hollywood the actress said: "My parents took it back to Kentucky, 'cos I felt odd having it, like, on display in my house.
"If anybody's coming over to my house, I didn't want them to remember that. Just kind of puts a weird energy out.
"I put it in the hallway towards the bathroom, and my mum was like, 'I'm taking it. It shouldn't be here'. And now it's on a piano in Kentucky!"
Since that Oscar win Lawrence has been busier than ever as she has completed work on Serena, American Hustle and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
She is currently working on X-Men: Days of Future Past, in which she will reprise the role of Mystique.
