Sophie Turner playing an 'isolated' and 'insecure' Jean Grey and X-Men: Apocalypse.
Turner is one of the big new additions to the X-Men: Apocalypse cast list as we see her take on the role of a young Jean Grey for the first time.
And while she is playing a familiar character, Turner reveals that there are some big differences between her interpretation and that of Famke Janssen's in the first three X-Men movies.
Speaking to EW, the actress said: "The difference between this and Famke's Jean Grey is she's young and isolated and so insecure and very alienated - even from the other mutants - because she's so powerful.
"So there's a real vulnerability to her and it's great to see how her and Scott [Tye Sheridan] find each other through that alienation. She's a great role to play, she's so much fun, and her arc in the movie is amazing."
X-Men: Apocalypse is the biggest film role of Turner's career to date as she teams up with filmmaker Bryan Singer for the first time. However, she is not the only new addition as Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Oscar Isaac are on board as Cyclops, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Apocalypse.
There are plenty of familiar faces on board as James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult are back as Charles Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, and Beast.
As for Turner, she is soon set to return to TV for the sixth season of Game of Thrones, which will see her reprise the role of Sansa Stark.
The actress has also completed work on film Alone and has landed the title role in Mary Shelley's Monster.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released 19th May.
