Jason Statham says he would be up for playing James Bond.
Statham returns to the big screen this week in Spy, which sees him tackle another action role - a genre around which his career has been based.
James Bond is the ultimate action franchise and Statham says that he would take the role if it was ever offered to him and he thinks he would be a 'decent' 007.
Speaking to The Guardian, the actor said: "Could I do it? Abso-f**king-lutely. Would I do it? Abso-f**king-lutely."
"Yeah, I'd make a decent Bond... But it'd be very, very different if I did it."
Spy sees Statham mix action and comedy as he teams up with director Paul Feig for the first time - Statham is not known for his comedy work and I really cannot wait to see him in action.
Statham is joined by an all-star cast as Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law, Rose Byrne, and Allison Janney are just some of the names also on board.
Statham has already enjoyed big box office success this year with Fast & Furious 7 - he was one of the new faces on the cast list as he took on the role of Deckard Shaw.
So far, the movie has grossed over $1.506 billion at the global box office. It is currently the fourth highest grossing movie of all time, but looks set to leapfrog Avengers Assemble into third place behind Avatar and Titanic.
Daniel Craig is set to return to the role of 007 this autumn with Spectre - which will be the fourth time that he has played James Bond on the big screen.
While there has been a lot of talk about who could take over from Craig, it is believed that he has one more film on his contract.
Spy is released 5th June.
