Jason Momoa is set to play Aquaman in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, it has been reported.
Momoa has been linked to an unknown role in the superhero film for quite some time, but now HitFix have 'confirmed' that Momoa will be playing Aquaman.
While there has been no official confirmation from Warner Bros, it is believed that designs for Momoa's costume in the film has already been completed.
Momoa was linked to the role last year, and was still denying his involvement in the project as recently as last month.
However, it does look like the actor is aboard the film.
Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice sees Henry Cavill reprise the role of Superman, while Ben Affleck will take over the role of Batman.
Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons are some of the other new faces on the cast list, as they take on the roles of Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, and Alfred.
As for Momoa, he made his directorial debut earlier this year with Road to Paloma, a movie that he also starred it.
He has also completed work on Wolves and Debut.
Filming on Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice has got underway, and the film will be released 29th April 2016.
