Isaacs - who played Lucius Malfoy in the 'Harry Potter' franchise - has been cast for a role by 'The Palace' director Anthony Maras, according to Deadline.

Isaacs will join 'Slumdog Millionaire' star Dev Patel, 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E' actor Armie Hammer and Iron Man's Nazanin Boniadi in the dramatic movie, which will bring the tragic real-life events of the 2008 terrorist attack on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India to the big screen.

The 'Hotel Mumbai' script is written by Maras and John Collee and it's based on the 2009 Emmy-nominated documentary 'Surviving Mumbai'.

The incident saw hundreds of people were held hostage by Islamic militants for more than 68 hours and saw gunfire and a blaze break out, killing 164 people and leaving at least 308 injured.

The Weinstein Company bought the rights to the film in Cannes this year and Patel will be executive producer alongside Thunder Road's Kent Kubena and Jonathan Fuhrman.

Basil Iwanyk is producing through Thunder Road, along with Gary Hamilton and Mike Gabrawy of Arclight Films and they are joined in the team by Electric Pictures' Andrew Ogilvie and Julie Ryan.

Filming on the project began on August 2 in Adelaide.

Isaacs will next be seen in 'The Investigator', which is released on August 16, and that will be followed by a role in horror thriller 'A Cure For Wellness'.

He has just wrapped up shooting on Armando Iannucci's 'The Death of Stalin', in which he plays the character Zhukov.

Isaacs is also said to be in talks to star in Assaf Bernstein's new film 'Behind the Glass'.
