Janet McTeer has revealed that she would like to see co-star Glenn Close win an Oscar more than herself.
Both McTeer and Close have been nominated for their roles in Albert Nobbs and the British actress says that it would be 'wonderful' if Close was recognised.
McTeer was in LA earlier this week to attend the Oscar Nominees Luncheon.
Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: "I want her to win way more than me.
"She's a dear friend and she's put her heart and soul into this for such a long time.
"I would love to see her win. That would be really wonderful."
The movie Albert Nobbs sees McTeer and Close joined by an all star support cast as Mia Wasikowska, Brendon Gleeson and Aaron Johnson also star.
McTeer can currently be seen in The Woman In Black - which has enjoyed huge success in America in it's opening week.
