Jamie Lee Curtis says suffering a cracked rib on the set of 'Halloween' is just "the nature of the beast".
The 59-year-old actress has reprised her role as Laurie Strode in the latest instalment in the slasher franchise and has revealed just how the physically demanding the shoot was.
She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "It was hard. The whole thing was very hard. I ended up with a cracked rib at the end of it. [I was] bruised and cut. But that's the nature of the beast."
Jamie claimed that in order to deliver the best possible performance, she needed to push herself to her physical limits.
She shared: "If you don't get hurt, you're not doing it right. Because, in order to do it, you have to get hurt."
Jamie first starred in the role of Laurie in 1978 and the Hollywood actress is hugely appreciative of the franchise's dedicated fan base.
She said: "I can't explain why this genre touches people and makes them love it. There are rabid fans that have loved Michael Myers and Laurie Strode and the relationship between the two of them for a very long time.
"I don't understand it. I really don't. But I'm grateful to them, because without them I really wouldn't have a career."
Meanwhile, the award-winning actress has also offered some advice to up-and-coming stars.
Reflecting on her approach to her own career, Jamie explained: "Every job I've ever gotten, I didn't expect to get, then I got and I did the best I could.
"It's really that simple. Suit up, show up, be early, stay late, say 'please' and 'thank you,' and bring cookies."
