James Wan says he doesn't want to make any more horror movies.
The director is back this week with Insidious 2, having already enjoyed huge success over the summer with The Conjuring.
And while his horror movies are big business at the box office, he wants to move away from the genre.
Speaking to Moviefone he said: "I'm going to go on record and say I am finished with the horror genre. Conjuring and Insidious 2 are my two last scary movies... I spent the last ten years of my life doing this. It's time for a change, for goodness sake.
"If you do a successful comedy, then you're known as 'The Comedy Guy'. If you do a successful car chase movie, then you become that guy. So I'm a student of cinema, so I just want to make sure I get the chance to make other kinds of films."
And Wan will move into the blockbuster genre with his next movie as he takes over the director's chair for Fast & Furious 7.
It will be his first Fast & Furious film as he takes over from James Lin; he left the franchise after the release of the sixth movie this summer.
Filming is just about to get underway on the film as Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson are all set to return.
Insidious 2 is out now.
