James McAvoy has suggested that he could be reprising the role of Charles Xavier in X-Men: Apocalypse,
McAvoy will be returning to the role in the spring of 2014, with X-Men: Days of Future Past; his first X-Men movie since the success of First Class.
However, it was announced last week that X-Men Apocalypse will be released in 2016. And while no cast has officially been linked with the new movie, we could well be seeing McAvoy appear.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz the actor said: "I saw a tweet saying that we're making it.
"I've only just finished this one ['Days of Future Past'] but I signed up for three films and I just like working with my pals."
McAvoy and Patrick Stewart will both play the role of Charles Xavier in Days of Future Past, as Bryan Singer's film will move between the present and the past.
McAvoy and Stewart will be joined by an all star cast as Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellan, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Halle Berry are all set to star.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is released 22nd May 2014.
