James McAvoy says he doesn't expect to have any scenes with Patrick Stewart in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The actor is set to reprise the role of Professor Xavier in the follow up film to X-Men: First Class - Stewart will also be returning to the same role in the film.
And while they will be sharing a cast list and a character McAvoy doesn't expect the two to come face to face.
Speaking to Empire the actor said: "It’ll be cool, but I don’t think [Patrick Stewart and I] get any scenes together, sadly.
"I don’t think there’s any future self talking to past self."
Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult will all also be reprising roles from First Class while Hugh Jackman and Ian McKellan are other familiar faces returning to the X-Men franchise.
Bryan Singer is also back as he will help his first X-Men film since the huge success of X2.
As for McAvoy we are going to be seeing plenty of him this year as Trance and Welcome To The Punch are both set for release next month.
Filming on X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to get underway anytime.
