James Gunn reveals he is 'terrified' of having to stop working on Guardians of the Galaxy.
Guardians of the Galaxy is the first film since Super: it also marks hid debut Marvel film, and the biggest movie of his directing career to date.
And while there isn't too much work left to do on the film, Gunn reveals that he is still doing some little tweaks.
Writing on Facebook, the director said: "This is essentially my last week of actually making Guardians of the Galaxy.
"It's been two years straight and [I'm] starting to become terrified of actually having to STOP.
"There isn't much left [to do]. I'm still playing with the sound mix and the 3D and the DI (digital intermediate - basically the colour-timing) - and there are some outstanding visual effects shots.
"But I still want to do what I can with what I have left to make the most stunning film I can for you guys on August 1!"
Guardians of the Galaxy is the second Marvel film of 2014, and sees Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Dave Bautista are all on board.
Guardians of the Galaxy is released 31st July.
