James Franco and Jack Reynor have joined the cast of 'Kin'.
The 'Spider-Man 3' star and 'Sing Street' actor will star alongside Zoe Kravitz and Dennis Quaid in the brand new sci-fi thriller movie.
The movie sees directing duo Jonathan and Josh Baker adapt their short film 'Bag Man' into this feature-length flick after the short received praise at last year's SXSW festival.
The script - penned by Daniel Casey - follows a recently released ex-con (Jack) and his adopted brother who are forced to go on the run.
They are chased by a vengeful criminal (James), and their only chance of protection comes when they find a mysterious weapon.
Dennis plays the father of the brothers and Zoe is set to star as an ally to the pair.
'Kin' is being produced by Shawn Levy's 21 Laps Entertainment with filming set to start taking place in October - after funding has been rounded up from the upcoming Toronto Film Festival.
News of James' new film role comes after the 'Spring Breakers' actor recently admitted that his behaviour on film sets in the past has been less than co-operative, but that he's now learnt the error of his ways.
Speaking at the time, he said: "I'll admit I was not a team player. A lot of it, I think, just had to do with being obnoxious when the camera was on someone else. Maybe I'd eat a banana in the background that would take focus away from other actors. I didn't think about it that way, but now I could say, 'Look, the scene's not about me, it's about them, just chill out, James. Don't eat a f**king banana.'"
