James Corden is eyeing up a role in 'Mission: Impossible 5'.
The British actor was spotted enjoying a meal with leading man Tom Cruise in Los Angeles earlier this week, where the pair allegedly discussed James making a move into action films.
Jeremy Renner - who is tipped to appear alongside Tom in the next instalment - joined them at the dinner table, as did 'Man of Steel' star Michael Shannon and 'Zero Dark Thirty' actor Jason Clarke.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "James is making huge strides in Hollywood. Brits are the flavour of the month too, so he's timed his foray into films perfectly. It's hard to believe he'd turn down the chance to star in 'Mission: Impossible 5'.
"But he's got some other big films in the pipeline, so it won't be a straightforward choice.!
Corden's A-list connections come as no surprise thanks to his rising notoriety in the US. The 'Gavin & Stacey' star took his hit West End play 'One Man, Two Guvnors' to Broadway last year, scooping the coveted Best Actor prize at the Tony Awards last June.
The star has also landed the part of The Baker in fairytale fantasy 'Into The Woods', alongside Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep. His next film, 'One Chance', will see him portray 'Britain's Got Talent' winner Paul Potts' life story.
