James Cameron says that he was 'absolutely floored' when he saw Gravity for the first time.
Alfonso Cuaron is back in the director's chair for the sci-fi film - which was screened at the Venice Film Festival last week.
The movie has had the critics raving and is already being tipped for Oscar success. And James Cameron has revealed that he is a big fan of the movie.
Speaking to Variety the director said: "I was stunned, absolutely floored. I think it’s the best space photography ever done, I think it’s the best space film ever done, and it’s the movie I’ve been hungry to see for an awful long time...
"What is interesting is the human dimension. Alfonso and Sandra working together to create an absolutely seamless portrayal of a woman fighting for her life in zero gravity."
Gravity sees Sandra Bullock team up with George Clooney for the first time as they play two astronauts stranded in space when a space walk goes wrong.
This was already one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the autumn, but the hype around Gravity just seems to be growing and growing.
Gravity also be screened at the Toronto Film Festival as it gets underway tomorrow.
Gravity is released 8th November.
