Jaden Smith says that his dad Will won't allow him to appear in the Men In Black franchise.
Will and Jaden reunite on the big screen this week for After Earth - which is directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
And Jaden would like to work with his father further and has been dropping hints to his dad about the possibility of a role in a future Men In Black film.
Speaking to Collider the actor said: "I have indeed, and he says, 'No'. He handled it pretty quickly. He didn't want to give me any false hopes.
"I keep telling him that I have something to bring to the Men In Black Academy. I have too much knowledge up in here.
"I keep telling him I'm ready, whenever he's ready and whenever he thinks I'm ready. He says I'm not ready."
After Earth marks the second feature that Will and Jaden have worked on together after they played father and son in The Pursuit of Happyness.
After Earth is the first film for Jaden in three years - his last big screen outing coming in 2010 with The Karate Kid.
After Earth is released 7th June.
