Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit was supposed to be the big Boxing Day release, but now the movie has been pushed back to the end of January - which is a real shame as there is nothing like a good action film during the festive period.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit sees Chris Pine take over the Tom Clancy created character for the first time - following in the footsteps of Harrison Ford, Alec Baldwin and Ben Affleck.
Paramount have released a trio of new images for you to take a look at:
The new film sees Kenneth Branagh return to the director's chair as he helms the movie as well as stars in it. This is the first directorial outing for Branagh since the success of Thor back in 2011.
As if Pine and Branagh on the cast list is not enough, they are joined by Kevin Costner, Keira Knightley and Colm Feore.
The story follows Ryan from 9/11, through his tour of duty in Afghanistan, which scarred him forever, and into his early days in the Financial Intelligence Unit of the modern CIA where he becomes an analyst, under the guardianship of his handler, Harper (Costner).
When Ryan believes he’s uncovered a Russian plot to collapse the United States economy, he goes from being an analyst to becoming a spy and must fight to save his own life and those of countless others, while also trying to protect the thing that’s more important to him than anything, his relationship with his fiancée Cathy (Knightley).
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is released 31st January 2014.
