It looks like Battlestar Galactica will be coming to the big screen, and Jack Paglen is on board to pen the screenplay.
According with Variey, Paglen has signed on with Universal Pictures to help bring the popular sci-fi franchise to the big screen.
The original series creator Glen Larson is set to produce the film, while Paglen will kick off using the 1978 original as inspiration.
No director has been announced for the project, nor are there announcements about the cast.
Paglen is no stranger to the science fiction genre, having penned the screenplay for the upcoming Transcendence: which is directed by Wally Pfister.
And Paglen is going to have a busy 2014, as it has been revealed that he will also be writing the screenplay for the Prometheus sequel.
The Prometheus sequel will be a project with 20th Century Fox, and will see Ridley Scott return to the director's chair.
