Jack O'Connell is believed to be in final takes with Universal Pictures for spy film Section 6.
Section 6 has been penned by Aaron Berg, and resulted in a bidding frenzy between Universal and Sony PIctures for the rights - a fight that Universal won to the tune of $1.2 million.
The movie is set to follows the origins of MI6 and its first director Sir George Mansfield Cummings, and Variety have reported that O'Connell is set for the lead role in the film.
Marc Platt and Adam Siegel are set to produce the film, however, no director has yet been named for the project.
O'Connell is a British actor who really is on the rise with the likes of 300: Rise of an Empire and Starred Up set for release this year.
He grabbed everyone's attention in TV series Skins, and is now enjoying some major big screen success.
He has just finished working on Unbroken, the latest directorial offering from Angelina Jolie.
No release date or filming date has yet been revealed for Section 6.
