Imogen Poots says some of the Need For Speed action sequences were ‘nuts’.
Poots is set to return to the big screen at the beginning of March for the adaptation of the popular video game: a movie that sees her star alongside Aaron Paul and Dominic Cooper.
The movie is set to be action packed and Poots says that she was a little ‘freaked’ out when she experienced some of the stunts for the first time.
Speaking to Total Film, the actress said: “Some of the sequences were nuts - helicopters in the middle of the street, cars flying over traffic, mad swirling driving… the first time I was in the Mustang with one of our stunt boys I was freaking out!
“There was a stunt I did where I climb out of the passenger window and lie parallel to the car, which was so much fun. Someone was holding on to my ankle, I was attached by some rope to some more rope - which was hopefully attached to a person, so you just hope the rope doesn’t snap and it’s just another day in paradise!”
Need For Speed sees Scott Waugh return to the director’s chair for what will be his second feature film: He made his debut with Act of Valor.
As for Poots, 2014 is set to be a very busy year as she has a string of varied projects. We have already seen her in rom-com That Awkward Moment, and is set to reunite with Paul in A Long Way Down.
She has also completed work on Terrence Malick film Knight of Cups and Squirrels to the Nuts. The former sees her join a great ensemble cast that includes Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman.
Need For Speed is released 12th March.
