Idris Elba has been linked with a voice role in the live-action remake of The Jungle Book.
Deadline has reported that Elba will voice the character of Shere Khan in the Jon Favreau directed movie.
The Jungle Book will be a mix of live-action and CGI, and the character of Khan will be brought to life by CGI.
This is one of two Jungle Book movies in the pipeline, Ron Howard has entered into early negotiations to helm a second adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling novel.
As for Elba, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is the last time that we saw him on the big screen.
However, he has already completed work on No Good Deed, The Gunman and Second Coming.
He is also set to begin work on Beasts of No Nation, the latest film project from director Cary Fukunaga.
