Idris Elba has signed up to star in thriller Alive Alone.
The movie will see him star alongside Sam Worthington and Noomi Rapace, while Khurram Longi is in the director's chair.
Alive Alone marks the feature film directorial debut for Longi; he has also penned the screenplay for the film.
Set in New York, Elba stars as an detainee of Guantanamo Bay working as a taxi driver while Noomi takes on the role of a prostitute on the run from a feared crime boss played by Worthington.
Elba's arrival on the project comes after Matthias Schoenaerts' exit from the film.
We last saw Elba on the big screen in Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, and has a number of films in the pipeline this year.
He has already completed work on No Good Deed, The Gunman and Second Coming.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that filming on the movie is set to get underway in March.
