Ron Perlman has revealed that the ideas that Guillermo del Toro has for a possible Hellboy 3 are 'mind-blowing.'
There has been a lot of talk about a third Hellboy movie in the last few weeks, with Perlman rejecting the idea that the blockbuster project could be crowdfunded.
And while there is nothing official as to whether w third movie has been given a green light and would go ahead, the actor reveals that director del Toro has been thinking about potential plot for a third film.
Speaking to Variety, Perlman said: "It's in Guillermo's head. And he's shared enough of it with me to know that it will be mind-blowing. I mean it will be mind-blowing. It will be great cinema.
"And if you are somebody who followed the first two movies, it will be even more mind-blowing because we have something... if you liked the first one and the second one, we have something really rock 'em, shock 'em in the third one."
It was back in 2004 when Hellboy hit the big screen for the first time, with sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army coming four years later in 2008.
However, the poor performance at the box office by the second film did thrown any future movies into jeopardy - not to mention Perlman and del Toro have been incredibly busy over the last few years.
I guess we are going to have to wait and see if a third Hellboy film does get the go ahead - I personally would love to see this series of films be given a proper ending in a final instalment of what would be a great trilogy.
Del Toro will be back in the director's chair later this year with Crimson Peak and he also has a Pacific Rim sequel in the pipeline.
