Henry Cavill is 'terrific' in The Man From U.N.C.L.E., according to cinematographer John Mathieson.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is a big screen adaptation of the famous television series, and will see Cavill takes on the role of Napoleon Solo.
And Mathieson reveals that we are going to see a witty and sharp performance from the British actor.
Speaking to the Press Association, Mathieson said: "I thought Henry was terrific.
"He plays it quite humorously, everything's slightly quirky, slightly sharp. It was very comic strip in some ways, I mean that in a good way.
"He plays it very differently [to Superman], this is much more earthbound. He's a peacock, and he's very funny. I thought he was great."
Armie Hammer is also on board as Illya Kuryakin, while Guy Ritchie is in the director's chair.
The role of Solo and Kuryakin were famously played by Robert Vaughn and David McCallum during the sixties.
The new movie will be set during the sixties, and follow the CIA and KGB agents as they set out on a mission to take down a mysterious criminal organisation.
This will be the first big screen outing for Cavill since the success of Man of Steel last summer. He is set to return to the role of Clark Kent in Batman vs Superman.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is released 16th January 2015.
