While we have seen the black Superman suit in the comic book, we have not see Cavill wear it in the two Superman films that he has starred in so far.
The actor will reunite with filmmaker Zack Snyder for Justice League, which is released next year, while another solo Superman film is on the horizon.
The first trailer for Justice League was released at Comic-Con earlier this summer and is already being tipped as one of the blockbuster films that's not to be missed next year.
Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot will return as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman while we will be properly introduced to Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Amber Heard, and Ray Fisher as Aquaman, The Flash, Mera, and Cyborg.
The movie comes after Batman and Superman shared the screen earlier this year in Dawn of Justice, which went on to gross over $872 million at the global box office - it is currently the fifth highest-grossing film of the year so far.
But before we see Justice League hit the big screen, the first solo Wonder Woman movie will be released.
Wonder Woman, which stars Gal Gadot in the title role and sees Patty Jenkins in the director's chair, will be released at the beginning of June next year.
Justice League is released 17th November 2017.
