Harry Shum Jr., who is best known for playing Mike Chang in 'Glee' is to star as a martial arts hero in the upcoming sequel 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon II: The Green Destiny'.
The 'Glee' star - who plays the role of Mike Chang on the hit musical TV series - has been added to the cast of the upcoming martial arts drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
'Crouching Dragon, Hidden Tiger II: The Green Destiny' - which is to be directed by Woo-ping Yen - comes fourteen years after the release of the original movie, which starred Yun-Fat Chow and Michelle Yeoh, in the year 2000.
The script, which was penned by 'The Forbidden Kingdom' scribe John Fusco, is set twenty years after the events of the first film and revolves around four heroes of the martial arts world - Silent Wolf, Yu Shu-lien, Tie-Fang and Snow Vase - who must use their courage and skills to keep the legendary sword Green Destiny away from the hands of the evil Hades Dai.
Shum is to star as Tie-Fang while Donne Yen has already been cast as Silent Wolf and Michelle Yeoh returns as Yu Shu-lien.
The Weinstein Co. is backing the martial arts drama, which began production this week and is to be filmed in New Zealand and China before its 2015 release date.
